The passage of Bill S510 will change the landscape (pardon the pun) of our gardens and livestock. The result could be devastating to small farmers, ranchers and even us urban homesteaders. This will also impact those who have a few chickens or cows to feed their own family. Our ability to grow and store our own produce will be regulated by the goverment. Homes and small farms can be subject to raids.
As well, the bill requires the use of carcinogens to be used in cattle to protect us from "bacteria"! Seeds will be modified as well. This bill will also affect vitamin and herbal supplements.

i just read that the bill may be dead in the water due to a mistake where new taxes were introduced into the bill which is not okay. technically, it would be "blue slipped" which means it will have to go back to vote after the lame duck session is out. let's hope.
It will be a reprieve. The Senate can't impose taxes. It has to go back to the house for the taxes to be added sent through again.
More time is good and hopefully wiser minds will prevail and an amendment safeguarding homesteaders and small farmers will be included.
